Different places make different people happy.
Leigh on Sea must be full of people who like living in Leigh on Sea, and devoid of people who don't.
In no way does this mean that if you move to Leigh on Sea you will be happy, if you're not a Leigh on Sea type of person.

The best thing about L-o-S is that the railway goes through it, so there are, available to the general public, at least two ways back to the civilised world of the 21st century.

I was seeing a girl back in 1991 who lived in Leigh-on-Sea. Ended up topping herself.
Made me feel bad about feeling up her best mate but at least I got a decent handful and stinky fingers. Silver lining and all that
